Bulk wormwood tea

Wormwood, scientifically known as Artemisia absinthium, is a well-known medicinal herb native to Europe, northern Africa, and western Asia. It has been used for centuries to support digestion and overall wellness. Traditionally, wormwood helps with loss of appetite, indigestion, upset stomach, gallbladder discomfort, and intestinal spasms. Many people also use it to assist with fever, liver concerns, and worm infections. Its bitter nature stimulates digestive juices, which is why it’s considered one of the most potent bitter herbs.

Beyond its internal uses, wormwood has a long cultural history. Wormwood contains several active compounds, including thujone, thujyl alcohol, absinthin, tannins, and resins. These constituents are responsible for both its benefits and its strong flavor. Wormwood tea is traditionally prepared by steeping one teaspoon of dried leaves, stems, or flowers in a cup of boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes. Many people drink up to three cups a day to support appetite, digestion, and liver function, and to help expel internal worms.

However, wormwood should be used with caution. Due to its potent compounds, it must not be consumed for longer than three weeks, and pregnant or nursing women should avoid it entirely. When used responsibly, wormwood tea is believed to ease gastric pain, support liver health, and strengthen the immune system.
